My Favorite Workout Equipment & Attire
If you are someone like myself who does not feel called toward a lifestyle of practicality, you will understand me clearly when I say that I do not feel exercise is worth it if I am not wearing cute activewear. Half of the battle of attending a public gym or studio is picking out something durable but pleasing to the eye. It’s not so much that I care about what I look like to others, because when I’m all sweaty, I’d prefer nobody sees me anyway. I know by this point, however, that I will have more motivation to start and finish my workout strong if I feel confident. Likewise, I have compiled a collection of my favorite activewear and yoga equipment brands and products that are not only convenient to own but also make me want to complete my workout just to have an excuse to use or wear them.
FP Movement
The amount of Free People clothes I own is embarrassing. For now, I will choose to cower behind the excuse that I could not help myself from spending my money on patterned sports bras and one pieces; why should I save to pay off my debt when I can purchase a one-shoulder sports bra? My current favorite pieces are the Good Karma Flare Legging and the Tighten Up Asymmetric Crop.
Set Active
I recently bought the Sculptflex Ribbed One Shoulder sports bra; a lot of one-shoulder bras can’t be trusted to hold everything in for the obvious reason that there’s only one strap, but the quality of this one keeps everything contained so I can do downward dog or go for a run without making constant adjustments.

“Do you ever not wear those pants” — my friend Bella Matuch
The answer is no. I got the Throwback Still Pant as a birthday gift about a year ago, and ever since I haven’t been able to stop wearing them (like my very honest friend brought to my attention). They’re versatile, comfortable, and they even cover the entirety of my long legs unlike a lot of pants and leggings I own.
Aurorae
The Synergy Hot Yoga Mat has two sides built in, one side with the archetypal foam texture and one side with terry cloth. I love it because I don’t need to bring a yoga towel or worry about slipping when I take a hot yoga class.
Bala
Bala’s Bala Bangles are simple one pound ankle/wrist weights (they also come in 1/2 pound and 2 pounds) and their Bala Bands are quality resistance bands that don’t snap.
